The Card Concept: Monochromatic Pink

Hello Everyone,
This week I am entering the Card Concept challenge for the first time. For this challenge there is a theme and then inspiration cards by the design team in all different card-making genres. I think my card is a cross between the CAS and Graphic style. When I saw Ardyth's card it made me think of this card that I made a while ago. I love this card and thought that it would be perfect for this challenge. So, I changed it up a bit... I used my copics to colour the vellum strips in graduated shades of pink. Then I die cut the love sentiment from graduated colours of pink cardstock and layered them. I really wanted all the layers to show, so I didn't stack them one right one top of the other, but shifted each layer slightly to right, topping them all off with a plain white. I love the effect. The love die and "you" stamp are both Paper Smooches.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope everyone has a craftilicious Friday.

Happy Stamping,
Meg

  5. I love those stripes...you get extra bonus points for doing them in vellum too! I am loving vellum lately! This is really pretty with the monochromatic pink colors and the cute die cut sentiment.
