Out of Nowhere

Hello Everyone,
This card really seemed to come out of nowhere. The pink pirouette frame was a cut out I did with my silhouette - I just wanted to see what it would look like and decided a soft pink would be pretty. Then I thought the cut was so intricate and beautiful it didn't need an image - maybe just a sentiment. This one from Word Play looked like the perfect match and I decided to stamp it with melon mambo - then I thought that a melon mambo background would offset the soft pink perfectly. I had this pre-cut in my stash and was going to trim down the excess, but decided to run a ribbon strip along it instead. This morning as I blog-hopped, I came across Papertrey Ink's make it Monday video on Nicole Heady's blog - this showed how you could use copic's to create stripes on plain ribbon. I have some copics, but none that seemed to fit the emerging colour scheme, so I decided just to try my melon mambo stampin' write marker. Well that worked out perfectly! I still thought the main panel looked like it needed something more, when I spied a felt flower I had rolled for another project, but never used - it looked bare on its own and lo and behold in my scrap basket were some extra toppers from this project - perfect leaves! So on it went; I mounted it all on a Whisper White base and voila! I love the way it turned out - the card that came out of nowhere! TFL.

Happy Stamping,
Meg

PPA 105: Delightful, Lucky, Indigo Doilies!

Hi Everyone.
I saw this card on Splitcoast and knew it would make a great card set; so when I saw the colours for this week's Pals Paper Arts challenge, this card popped to mind. I love the simplicity of it and the colour combo is striking. I am looking at using designs like to sell in sets - they are easy to make in mass quantities. Thanks for looking!

Happy stamping,
Meg
