Online Card Class: Water Colouring for Cardmakers

Hi Everyone,
I have been meaning to play with watercolouring and have just been super-busy at school - we are coming up to the end of the year crunch and I am marking like crazy. Anyway, I saw this great card by Laura Bassen and had to case it. I love the simple geometric background and the softness the watercolouring adds. I changed the colours up a bit, but other than that, I copied the background pretty directly. I wanted a bolder sentiment, so I went with the large "Hello" from Simon Says Stamp. I die cut the hello from the water colour piece (and used it on another card - see post below), so that I could inlay the black die cut. I decided that I wanted a bit of dimension too, so I layered it on three other die cuts. I love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by - I look forward to your feedback.

Happy Stamping,
Meg
