You are getting two posts in one day - can you believe it!? In my earlier post I made a card using the "love" word die from Paper Smooches. For that card (just scroll down) I used the negative cut for the focal image. I certainly couldn't let the positive cuts go to waste ... So, card number two was created. I Love this card (not that I am at all partial)! I die cut the heart and coloured it with three red copics (R05, R20, and R27). I layered the "love" cuts one on top of the other and glued them to create a raised chipboardesque die cut. I cut the "i" and "u" from white paper and coloured them with the R27 copic. The background square is embossed with a woodgrain EF. Heart and letters are all popped up on foam - i used clear foam for the letters, so that it wouldn't show. I don't think you can see it in the picture, but the "Love" and the "i/u" are all coloured with Wink of Stella glitter pens. In real life it has a very pretty shimmer to it. Since the challenge over at PS Sparks is "Anything Goes", I am entering this one too! I love the mileage you can get from a simple die. Thanks for stopping by, and Happy New Year!
Happy Stamping,
Meg
The heart and wood grain combo is fantastic! Makes for a great card. The "love" die is on my wishlist... such a versatile product, and adds so much to your card. :)
