Hello Everyone,
For this week's Case Study challenge - I cased a case! In January I decided that my cards needed a destination - I was making too many that never seemed to have a home to go to. So, I made up my mind to send my BFF a card a week for a year; we live in the same city and we get together every week, but she is loving getting a little mid-week pick me up in the for m of a card. So, when I saw the case study challenge this week, I knew what Wendy's card would be. I actually cased the guest designer's case! Since I started this card club - I have added several more people as recipients and am so enjoying sending my designs out each week. Anyway, I love the way it turned out. My photo didn't quite capture how cool the cutout background looks - I just love my memory box dies! Anyway, thanks for looking!

Cas-ual Friday Challenge 55: Style it with Bling
I love when Cas-ual Fridays Blog posts the new challenges. This week's challenge is to style it with bling - not much challenge in that for me - I have a hard time keeping the bling off my cards! Anyway, I just made a visit to my favourite local crafting store and stocked up on some new Memorybox dies... How can a girl resist when they keep coming out with fantastic new designs. So, I decided to test out this Christmas tree - I love it! I cut it out with SU's shimmer white paper and mounted it on Cherry Cobbler. I embossed the Cherry cobbler with SU's Snowburst EF. Then I added a Memorybox star cut from silver glitter paper. Finally on went the last touch of bling - clear rhinestones. My picture doesn't quite catch the real-life sparkle, but I think you get the picture! Thanks for popping in.

Paper Players Challenge 85: Spring has Sprung!
Hello Stampers,
This week's challenge over at the Paper Players is "Spring has Sprung". I made this card this week and was just waiting to post it. I think it is perfect for this theme challenge. I used the coloured glitter technique that I mentioned in my last post - check out Julie Ebersole's blog for the link to the tutorial. I just love this technique and can see myself using it a lot in the future. The image is so much more glittericious in real life - I had a hard time finding a photo that would really do it justice... Anyhooo - Have a wonderful Sunday.

Play Date Cafe: PDCC121
This is my first time playing along with the Play Date Cafe. The colours this week just seemed perfect for this card that was percolating in my brain. I saw this fabulous coloured glitter technique here on Julie Ebersole's blog - if you haven't followed her work, you don't know what you have been missing! I watched the tutorial and found that it was really not a complicated technique at all. It works beautifully with copics, but I also used my SU Stampin' Write markers on this card and love the results too. In real life it is just glittericious - even my husband was oohing and aahing! Check out all the amazing cards over at the Play Date Cafe.

Papertrey Ink Day Seven: Gotta Have Heart
Hello Everyone,
Boy oh boy I am having fun with all the Papertrey Ink Anniversary challenges. They are really getting my stamping mojo going. I am loving all the inspiration. On this card we were to add hearts - so I did. In a rainbow of colours - I stamped each heart with Background basics Chevron stripes; then I used Wonderful Words and Wonderful Word Additions for the sentiment. I love the way this cheery card turned out. TFL.

Papertrey Anniversary Day Four: Dawn McVey's Colour Combo
Hello Everyone,
Today I made a card using a favourite colour combination of Dawn McVey's - I love the way she combines colours in her designs. Each of the Design Team over at PTI chose their favourite colour combos and today's anniversary challenge is to make a project using one of the colour combinations. I chose Dawn's as she is one of my favourite designers on the design team. I am pleased with the way it turned out! Happy Anniversary PTI!

Paper Players Challenge 80: Use Flowers, PPA 128: Just add Red
Hello Everyone,
I bought this Memory Box Window Die a while ago and have been "dying" (pun intended) to use it. I love this floral stamp set by Maile Belles for PTI: Gracious Vases. It is so elegant and versatile. Anyway, I cased this card by Heather Nichols. I used the wood sheets from SU to make the window and embossed the Cherry Cobbler background with the stripes EF to give the texture of siding. I love the simplicity of this card - it really was easy to put together and I think it would be suitable for a variety of sentiments. The flowers are for the Paper Players challenge this week and the red for the PPA challenge this week. TFL.

PPA 128: Just add Red!
Hello Everyone,
It was a quiet day at home yesterday, so my creative juices were flowing. I made this card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge this week. I used Wonderful Words dies and Additions from PTI. I am also loving the nesting Hearts that SU has come out with. At first I wasn't going to get them because I don't like to buy things that are too holiday specific, but I am using them all over the place. The "forever" was a little finicky to adhere, but having done it once, I think it will be easier to reproduce. TFL.

Happy Anniversary PTI: Casing Dawn McVey
Hello Everyone,
Okay here is my second card for the Design Team Inspiration challenge over on Nichole Heady's blog. I have been following Dawn McVey for a couple of years now - I check her blog religiously everyday to get inspiration. So today I have used Turning a New Leaf for the leaves (go figure) and the background. I saw this rolled flower and found a tutorial - it is so easy to do. You can see the tutorial here. The sentiment is from Maile Belles' Gracious Vases stamp set. I have stayed with the colour scheme that Dawn used, but used Stampin' Up's label for the Flower mat. TFL.

Papertrey's Fifth Anniversary: Inspired by Maile Belles
Hello Everyone,
I was doing a little blog-hopping, when I hopped to Nicole Heady's blog and was excited to see that Papertrey ink is celebrating an anniversary: 5 years! That's huge. I just made my first PTI purchases this year, although I have long-admired their products. My husband gave me a PTI gift card and I was hooked. I have a few sets of stamps and some of their dies. My favourite designers for PTI are Maile Belles and Dawn McVey. Nicole has put together the most amazing give-away over on her blog, and while I won't hold my breath I am entering this card to have a chance to win. You really have to go check it out. I have chosen to case this card by Maile Belles. I love the CAS style. I switched it up a bit, but you can see the layout is all Maile. TFL.
