Hello Everyone,
This week's Muse card is designed by Therese Calvird. I love it! Instantly I was drawn to the watercolour look of the flower and the large bold sentiment. I was over at Jill Foster's blog and she does some amazing things with watercolouring. I used one of the techniques she demonstrated with Distress Markers. It is really simple. I coloured the flowers with spiced orange, mustard seed and worn lipstick; on the leaves I used pine needles and crushed olive. Then I spritzed with water and sat back while the colours blended. Heat and fussy cut. I wanted them to have a little more sparkle, so I added some rock candy distress stickles to it. The background leaves are stamped with a Hero Arts shadow ink and the sentiment with Ranger jet black Archival. I love the way it turned out. Thanks Therese for the wonderful inspiration and thanks to everyone else for stopping by!
Happy Stamping,
Meg
So so beautiful and the added shimmer is perfect (I'm thinking I might just *need* me some of that rock candy stickles lol)
